Memorial service for The Duke of Edinburgh

On Tuesday 29 March, The King and Queen attended a memorial service for HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The service was held in Westminster Abbey in London.

The Duke of Edinburgh died on 9 April 2021. Due to the pandemic, his funeral was held ten days later on a small scale, with only his immediate family present.

Tuesday's memorial service was attended by member of the British Royal Family, European royal families, the Duke of Edinburgh's family and friends, and more than five hundred representatives from many of the organisations he worked with over the years.

The Duke of Edinburgh's life and work for the British Royal Family were commemorated during the ceremony.
